434 Potrero Grande Drive, Monterey Park, California 91755-7324
Phone: 323/887-1988 | Fax: 323/722-0710

Very close to the Goodrich facility. Be sure to take a look at the map (link above) as getting to this hotel when heading east (the direction of travel from the airport) is a bit tricky due to some one-way roads. You'll take the 6B exit from Highway 60 (the Pomona Freeway) and will need to go all the way past the mall on your right until it is obvious that unless you make a left at a light you will get back on highway 60. The left will take you to Potrero Grande Drive where the hotel will be immediately on your right.

Getting Around Town

Car rental will be needed. All but Thrifty/Dollar are located at the airport. The Thrifty/Dollar can be walked to in a pinch (about a mile), however their shuttle service is excellent. Just find the courtesy phone in baggage claim and ring them up. The Burlington airport is refreshingly small and relaxed.

Hotels

  • Best Western - Small rooms. Great wifi. Very close to the airport and the route down to Vergennes.
  • TownePlace Suites - Extended stay suites with kitchen, desk, large closet, and hard-wired Ethernet. East of Burlington by a few miles (essentially East of the airport). About ten minutes more commute time compared to the Best Western.

Don't Miss Food

  • 3 Squares Cafe - In Vergennes, near the facility. Great for lunch. Some sandwiches, soups, and coffee; but the pancakes and cider are amazing!
  • The Guild Tavern - Dinner. All local fresh foods. Great burgers and clam chowder. Don't miss the black cherry soda.
  • American Flatbread - Dinner
  • The Pour House - Dinner. A working man's place. Sports Bar atmosphere. Tuesday's they have free wings. Great 5PM dinner specials like hot roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy. Yum!
  • Windjammer Pub - Dinner. If you can get there by 5PM, just go straight upstairs to the bar area.
  • Dakin Farm - Maple Syrup / Gifts. This is on the commuter route to and from Burlington and the customer's facility. So stop here for the obligatory family gifts to bring home such as real maple syrup, Vermont cheddar cheese, Cabot butter, etc.
  • The Skinny Pancake - Breakfast at the Burlington airport. Scrambled eggs with Cabot butter and crepes. Real maple syrup of course. Good place for breakfast before catching your flight out of Burlington.
