Removed Components

systemvideostreams 6.5.1 - Replaced by system-video-stream 6.6.1

In addition the set of general reference BSPs that come with all Deos releases has changed. This involves removing the following components:

  • emac
  • emac-prl
  • ep440c (Dummy)
  • ep440c-platform-boot
  • ep440c-platform-configuration
  • ep440c-platform-pal
  • ep8343m (Dummy)
  • ep8343m-boot
  • ep8343m-config
  • ep8343m-pal
  • fit-pc2 (Dummy)
  • fit-pc2-boot
  • fit-pc2-configuration
  • fit-pc2-pal
  • serial-driver (tied to one of the removed reference BSPs)
  • tsec-durant
  • tsec-durant-prl

and the addition of the following components:

  • t10xx-boot
  • t10xx-pal
  • wade8078 (Dummy)
  • wade8078-boot
  • wade8078-configuration
  • wade8078-pal

Note: The wade8078 platform is not part of the Booyah SOW and will not be tested with this release, although it is included in the distribution. Therefore, these components are not added to the table above although their latest test report could be found on the FTP server if desired.

Note: The dependencies bring in t10xx which brings in t10xx-boot t10xx-pal and t10xx-config. However, t10xx-config does not have any content for the multicore distribution. Since OpenArbor bases presence of a platform by something distributed by the config component this platform is not shown as an option. There is a different Dummy package t10xx-mc which some other multicore customer definitions use in addition to the reference package which brings in the t10xx-mc-config allowing the platform to be used. The Booyah SOW does not specify the t10xx platform so this is ok for this release.

Additional Testing

After installing candidate DDS ran one of the 653 examples on PPC and one on x86. Worked as expected.

Known Problems

See deos-kernel-release-notes.htm for high level status of multi-core. Each component release notes documents its known problems.

CVT's are included but they are tied to latest verified release. This is not a verified release so CVT's should not be utilized.
