GAP Analysis

In order to bound the amount of testing needed for this release, engineering judgement was applied such that only new or changed software components were tested.

A difference (gap) analysis was performed on a previous release, which was DDS-chino-deos-fourpeaks-20131119. The gap analysis results showed that the only relevant differences were to the packages described in the Components section below.

TRAC: All components should be tested using Build 254. Otherwise this column should contain an N/A indicating that it doesn't need to be tested, in an integrated fashion, with TRAC.

The Distribution Columns:

  • Yes or no : component tested for that distribution
  • version that was frozen for that distribution

Who Is the person responsible for doing the work associated with the component.

Remarks are free form text. It must contain the test report when done.

Addiitonal Ad-Hoc Testing

In addition to the testing described in the Components table above, the following was performed:

  • Using DDS-maple-deos-fourpeaks-20140121, the customer hardware platforms DeosMaple1 and DeosMaple2 were re-flashed per the steps used by the customer to program these platforms. The boards were then powered up observed to boot Deos and "ping" on the network.
  • Again, using a fresh DDS-maple-deos-fourpeaks-20140121 install, the cffsbenchmark and hello-world examples were downloaded and executed on DeosMaple1. Both ran successfully, and their resulting behavior was as expected for this release.
