MD: Who is the intended audience for this page? Perhaps it is to provide Sales, Marketing, and Engineering Deos compatibility notes? If so, would it be helpful to add words explaining why certain statements are being made. For example:
"This processor does not have machine check support."
Why is the above significant?
AL: My intent was to have something that would facilitate rapid quote
generation from engineering. My thought was that we'd have structured
notes and use the wiki inclusion mechanism to make sure we had all the
topics covered. E.g., the e200 core and the specific instances have
different characteristics that will change over time as we implement
stuff. I didn't want to have to go to a number of places to update
info as we make kernel changes, or as we better understand the cores.
I'm not convinced this approach will work, so at present the audience
is "me" mainly because I wasn't sure what the significance of some of
the items was as I read the manuals. To really see what sort of a
mess I've created, you have to look at the source for the page(s).
