Overview
Additional software is needed to create a DDC-I Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to the Corporate network.
The following steps have been tested on MacOS version 10.13.3 (High Sierra)
Installation Procedure
- Using the Web browser of your choice, go to forticlient.com and download the Mac OSX client.
- Execute the installer. It will connect to a Fortinet server and download the latest installer.
- Execute the freshly updated installer.
- Check "Yes, I have read and accept the License Agreement" Click Next:
- Select "VPN Only". Click Next and follow the bouncing ball until the installation is complete.
- Open the FortiClient application and click "Config VPN" in the middle of the screen.
- Select "IPSec VPN".
- Enter a "Connection Name". Suggest "DDCI Fortinet IPSec VPN".
- Enter a Description. Something like "VPN to Office.
- Enter the "Remote Gateway" which is connect2.ddci.com (24.248.189.191).
- Set "Authentication Method" to "Pre-shared key" and enter TheDDCIIPsecKey
- Click Apply.
- Click Close.
- Enter your Windows domain user name as your login ID. For example: "bcronk" without the quotes and NOT ddci\bcronk. If you are not certain about what your Windows domain user name is, contact the Systems Administrator.
- Enter you Windows domain password.
- Click Connect.
- You should be connected to the DDC-I, Inc. network.
