DO-178C Transition is Happening!
Status
Our Procedures (How-Tos) have been updated for DO-178C and are available via the HowTos link within the "shared ip" box on the left.
Note: Our Standards (checklists) are not yet available. DO-178C requires audit evidence be generated showing that Standards were reviewed - yes - we now need a checklist for the checklists. *sigh*. No witty comments about the obvious recursion here. We are working on getting the checklists reviewed and accepted, and will get them online as soon as we can.
FAQ
1) I still need to follow DO-178 "B" procedures and checklists
You can use the revision stored in labels.txt to capture a copy of the DO-178 "B" procedures and checklists within your component's certification archive. You can then use the cert. archive copy to carry on with your activities. We recommend you document this detour in your Software Accomplishment Summary.
2) I've got two (or more) components that need to keep using DO-178 "B" procedures and checklists.
Use the label described above to "fork" the DO-178 "B" procedures and checklists. Document what you did in your Software Accomplishment Summaries.
3) I need to keep using DO-178 "B" AND I need to make improvements / changes to them.
